The Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation is a non profit corporation that exists to provide the infrastructure for the delivery of physician services, and contracts with a seperate corporation comprised of physicians and other care providers to deliver athe clinical services. This multi-specialty foundation will provide a platform from which new physicians can be recruited to continue to provide physician services in a nonprofit, community setting. The foundation’s vision is to create a medical group that will deliver high quality, market competitive medical services.The Surgery Scheduler provides surgery scheduling for some of the surgical specialties at the Sutter East Bay Medical Foundation.* Education: High school diploma or GED. Some college coursework in business and healthcare is preferred. Successful completion of medical terminology is required. Successful completion of anatomy is preferred.* Experience: Surgery Scheduling skills such as would be obtained in one year of experience working in a surgical physician’s office or hospital setting.* Knowledge: Knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology and medical terminology is required. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of computers and their applications. Knowledge of surgery scheduling processes is important for this position.Special Skills/Equipment: Excellent communication and customer service skills are required for this position. Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively in English. Ability to efficiently operate office equipment, i.e. fax, photocopy machine, etc. Ability to accept, implement and evaluate change. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions. Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities paying particular attention to detail. Organizational skills are important for this position.
