Neonatal Nurse Manager NICU

An Award Winning 300 bed non-profit San Francisco Bay Area Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Manager NICU to lead their high acuity newborn nursery. 

This 40-bed level III NICU has one of the highest designations available by the American Academy of Pediatrics.  The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a major referral for the most critically ill newborns, many of which suffer from heart and lung conditions.

Reporting to the Nurse Director of Neonatal ICU, the Manager of NICU will collaborate with a team of: tenured nurses, educators, respiratory therapists, advanced practice nurses and physicians. The NICU Manager will provide guidance to a high reward environment, focusing on quality and patient care.  The Nurse Manager Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will be supported by a team of 10 Assistant Nurse Managers, with oversight of over 150 FTE’s.

The Nurse Manager of NICU will manage retention and recruitment of nurses and other patient care professionals while assisting with staff development for individuals involved in patient care through self-improvement in education and experience. 

The Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse Manager will facilitate the collaboration between trained neonatologists, nurses and respiratory care practitioners. The large Neonatal Nursery sees patients of the highest acuity, and the center performs surgeries in-house. The Manager of Children’s services will be responsible for the 24-hour supervision, budgets, staff retention and education, and quality reports.

Nursing Director Ambulatory Surgery Center ASC

One of the San Francisco Bay Area’s busiest Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) is actively interviewing for a Director of Nursing to oversee a busy outpatient surgical practice. Join this established and successful organization, and lead a team of talented perioperative services nurses in a cutting-edge surgery center.

As patient and procedure volume continues to grow, this busy Ambulatory Surgery Center has steadily increased its staff, surgeons, and procedure types to grow with it. The Director of Nursing (DON) will oversee clinical and administrative operations in a multi-specialty Outpatient Surgery Center with 5 fully-equipped and state of the art operating suites and 13 Post Anesthesia Care (PACU) beds. Averaging over 550 cases per month, this Ambulatory Surgery Center keeps its books and beds full.

The Nursing Director of this ASC will be supported by an experienced staff made up of a CNOR Operating Room Supervisor and a CPAN PACU supervisor, 20 RNs that have been cross-trained between Pre-Op/PACU and OR, Operating Room Techs, and other support staff. From Pre-Operative Assessment and Holding, to Intra-suite circulating and scrubbing, to Post-Operative Recovery, the DON will lead this distinguished team through the entire continuum of care.

Working in close collaboration with the Medical Director and the ASC Administrator, the Director of Nursing will play a huge role in the clinical operations of this Center. This person will develop and implement continuing educational programs for the staff, focusing on high-quality patient services. The ASC Nursing Director will also serve as a mentor and clinical leader to the RN and support staff, serving in a Director Patient Care role when needed. 

In addition to fulfilling these clinical duties, you’ll also get to practice your administrative talents. Working with the CEO/Administrator, along with the Business Office and Materials Managers, you’ll learn to develop and maintain tight budgets. The ASC Outpatient Director of Nursing will take ownership of accreditation preparation with the Joint Commission and CMS, as well as tracking credentialing for employees.

  • Required Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of direct fundraising experience with knowledge of annual fundraising campaigns.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Solid organizational, administrative, and managerial skills including the ability to create and implement a strategic plan and develop and manage a program budget with net revenue responsibility.
  • Understanding of database management, gift processing, and donor relations.
  • Ability to learn and use our client’s database.

    MSW or Masters in Counseling, Registered Intern. License preferred
