JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and engage children during the morning and/or afternoon program in child-initiated and organized activities, encouraging peer as well as helping with problem solving and conflict resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants must have completed coursework in Early Childhood Education or hold a teacher’s credential in Child Development for preschool.

Experience working with preschool-aged children necessary.

HOURS AND COMPENSATION:

Shifts scheduled as needed between 8:00 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.

**Position Overview:** The Senior Project Manager represents Sutter Health in capital improvement projects, including new development, facility expansion, renovation and retrofitting. Job Summary

Insurance Associates serve our Members by selling them the Property & Casualty and Roadside Assistance insurance that meets the Member’s needs. Individuals in this role are accountable for achieving assigned sales goals while providing an exceptional Member experience. Primary responsibilities include soliciting new business, serving existing insured Members, and retaining policies. Insurance Associates participate in promotions, events, marketing activities, and the cross-sell of AAA insurance products. Insurance Associates are professionals who guide our Members in the purchase of appropriate products and coverage under managerial supervision.

Essential Functions 

  • Uses sales techniques and strong product knowledge to identify customer-specific needs to generate new sales, retain existing insureds and grow our overall insurance book of business. Effectively overcomes objections to close the sale and/or retain the insured.

  • Works to meet or exceed targets as defined in the sales incentive plan and as assigned by the Insurance Agent’s manager.

  • Conducts an insurance review for clients to identify a range of suitable products. Uses provided tools and applicable underwriting guidelines to assess risk, recommend appropriate products and related coverage, quote, bind and issue policies.

  • Establishes rapport with the insured that enhances the member’s affinity to the AAA brand and results in greater member satisfaction and loyalty.

  • Proactively solicits and markets to business and/or community events, performs outbound calling, works marketing lists, and cross-sells/up-sells new and existing customers.

  • Responds to customer inquiries and requests relating to insurance products and membership.

Required Qualifications

Team building activities help to develop a fun loving, connected and caring Summer Camp community of friends, scientists and environmentalists.Camp sessions are one week long (Monday-Friday) between the hours of 8:30 am and 4 pm and take place at various natural habitats around the Berkeley area, including Tilden Park, Strawberry Creek, and Berkeley Marina. All sessions of camp include special field trips to ocean beaches, the Exploratorium, China Camp State Park, the Aquarium of the Bay and more exciting destinations.Camp sessions are for Adventurers Campers age 5-7 and Explorers age 8-11. Camper Ambassadors, age 12 &13 help out with younger campers, and youth age 14 – 17 are Leaders in Training/Interns. Each week of camp is led and managed by Environmental Educators including year-round KftB Program Staff, Camp Leaders and Camp Assistant Leaders. Our camper-to-staff ratio is low, ensuring an enriching, safe, and positive camp experience. KftB also runs an after-care camp Nature Club from 4-5:30 pm.

    Responsibilities
    • Assist in leading hands-on nature, art, science, adventure, community-building and play activities
    • Supervise campers during snack, lunch, and free play times
    • Maintain a safe, respectful, positive camp environment and attend to campers’ individual needs
    • Maintain positive, upbeat, and professional communication at all times.

    Required Qualifications and Experience
    • Applicant must be 18 years of age by the first day of camp, June 15, 2020
    • Previous camp or other teaching or child care experience
    • Ability to walk and hike along trails while carrying light equipment, sit on the ground for circle times and play active games with campers
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Willingness to follow directions and work with a team of camp staff
    • Confidence and ability to take initiative and take the lead when required
    • Commitment to equity and inclusion.

    Desired Qualifications and Experience
    • Knowledge of local creek, bay, and marine habitats and ecology
    • Valid CPR/First Aid certification
    • Other relevant talents (e.g. storytelling, music, arts and crafts).

    Position Terms
    The Camp Assistant Leader (CAL) will be a temporary employee of Earth Island Institute (KftB’s fiscal sponsor), with employment beginning on June 11 and ending on August 7, 2020. The CAL will be paid $15/hour and will submit time sheets to receive paychecks semi-monthly. The position does not include any health benefits or paid vacation time, but does include worker’s compensation.

    Neurobehavioral Systems, Inc. is a small company in downtown Berkeley that produces specialized software for neuroscience research and medical applications.We are seeking a highly organized and responsible office manager who will manage the day-to-day operations of our organization and keep things running smoothly. This position requires you to work independently with little supervision on a wide range of tasks. The position is approximately half time.

    Responsibilities

    • Bookkeeping, report generation, payroll administration
    • Sales support and vendor relations
    • Bill paying, filing, and general office management
    • Scheduling meetings, trade shows, and other events
    • Assisting with technical support

    Qualifications

    • AA, BA or BS degree preferred
    • Three years prior experience in a managerial position, including duties similar to those described above
    • Proficient computer skills and technical knowledge of various types of office equipment/software
    • Proficient accounting knowledge/experience (experience with QuickBooks preferred)
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
