POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our small tight-knit supportive team. This position will work closely with our Veterinarian and Lead RVT to ensure the highest level of care for the animals at Berkeley Humane. This position will be responsible for the health of all of the animals in the adoption center and in foster; for providing all necessary treatments directed by the Veterinarian; for training volunteers, and interns; and for educating clients, volunteers and staff on proper animal care and disease control. Current California Registered Veterinary Technician license 2. 1-3 years as a Registered Veterinary Technician or Assistant 3. Ability to build rapport with clients/fosters and deliver personable interactions 4. Ability to prioritize and multitask 5. Positive and professional demeanor 6. Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications. Avimark and PetPoint software experience preferred or the ability to become proficient using veterinary software as applicable to clinic operations. SCHEDULE Monday-Friday and an occasional Saturday for special clinic days. No evening or overnight work.
