IAM Engineer

Your Team responsibilities : MSCI is looking for a software engineer to help build and support tools for MSCI’s engineering platform. We believe core functionality in every application, like identity and access management, should not be the concern of application developers. Our team provides this critical functionality with the goals of providing a consistent and secure experience for MSCI clients. These shared services allow MSCI application developments teams to improve applications faster while maintaining a higher level of security. To succeed this in this position, the candidate will have to design, implement, and support enterprise-wide solutions while collaborating with developers from all MSCI application development teams. Your key responsibilities:Strong candidates will be comfortable with learning and experimenting. They will wear many ‘hats’ depending on the project and need to feel comfortable with change. Experts are great, but a jack-of-all-trades candidate will probably find more success in this role. * Design technical solutions that will scale across the entire enterprise. * Implement the central services that application teams will call. This could mean writing code or configuring a 3rd party service. * Support the enterprise solutions the team builds/designs. You must have an ‘owner’ mentality and feel accountable for the inception of the application to its on-going production support. We don’t throw things over the wall. * Help with service adoption. This candidate will work with all MSCI application development teams. Being an effective communicator over email/Slack/chat is important. * Ability to rapidly deliver proof-of-concepts to support new requirements. * Must be able to keep the big picture in mind while working through details. * Write automated tests for your solution * Automate the build/deployment of our services/workloads.
