Our client is a Investment Management and Wealth Planning firm for High Net Worth Individuals, located in Berkeley, California.

Due to growth, the firm is looking for a Tax Advisor to join their team. This person will be responsible for reviewing clients’ and prospects’ tax returns looking for opportunities for tax reduction and/or financial optimization, including but not limited to: cash flow, charitable giving, retirement plan contributions, cap gain management, employer equity comp (RSUs, ISOs, NQs, ESPPs); create and maintain stock option tracking spreadsheets with grants, vesting schedules, exercised & sold positions to aid in planning, and reviewing tax returns for accuracy; handle tax projections using BNA Income Tax Planner to advise clients re: expected cash requirements for taxes, and tax reduction opportunities; review clients’ estimated payment schedules; to determine whether estimated payment provided with prior year tax return are sufficient – considering lumpy withholding and other factors that would warrant recalculation and stay current and apply income tax knowledge to enhance clients’ overall financial situation, including but not limited to QSBS, QOZ, rental real estate considerations, QBI, AMT & Foreign tax credit.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of in-depth HNWI Tax experience, a CPA or Enrolled Agent license, as well as excellent communication skills in verbal and written format.
