QA Automation Engineer

Nefeli Networks is an exciting early stage startup in the Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) space. This is the opportunity to get in on the ground floor at a well funded company. You’ll be working with new technology and a great team of developers. We have several offices in the SF Bay Area (Berkeley and San Jose). Responsibilities: Contribute to the entire product lifecycle through inception, design, deployment, operation, and refinement Design and develop the testing frameworks and libraries needed to ensure proper coverage Analyze and troubleshoot large-scale distributed computer systems Collaborate with developers to design and build a reliable, testable, and secure product Qualifications: Experience in testing microservices and RESTful APIs Experience in scaling or performance testing including network impairment testing using equipment such as Ixia, Spirent, TRex, or Warp17 Worked with virtualization or container technology such as KVM and Docker Familiar with cloud infrastructure and deployments such as AWS, Azure Experience with documenting and automating tests for both backend systems and front-end browser apps using tools such as Selenium Knowledgeable in Python, Go, and in developing on Unix/Linux operating systems Experience with networking (e.g., TCP/IP, routing, L2 to L3 technologies, SDN, NFV, VxLAN, BGP) Ability to troubleshoot the various network layers from L2 to L7. Familiar with wireshark, tcpdump, network analysis and setup Familiar with Agile Scrum methodologies Strong initiative and passionate about automation and learning new technologies Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly Strong systematic problem solving skills and ability to work in ambiguity Minimum of 7 years experience in the field Education: B.S. in Computer Science or related technical field is required. An advanced degree a plus
