The Data Engineering team is responsible for the data ecosystem. We engineer high performance data pipelines, provide a fabric to Client and consume healthcare data, and continually evolve our data storage capabilities. We are seeking an exceptional individual to be part of the cutting-edge Data Engineering platform and lead the design and development of our DevOps processes for the platform. As a DevOps Engineer in the Data Engineering team you will Work alongside our systems engineers and data engineers to help design and build scalable, automated CICD pipelines Help prove out and productionize infrastructure and tooling to support scalable cloud-based applications Lead the effort to create and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices to optimize the utilization of the cloud infrastructure. Liaison with the InfoSec team to implement DevSecOps best practices and create a zero-trust security environment. Mentor team members on technology and best practices Build and maintain strong relationships between DataOps, Data Engineering and our Technology teams Maintain excellent knowledge of the technical landscape for data cloud tooling Assist in troubleshooting issues, support the operation of production software Write technical documentation Have fun as part of an awesome team. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree At least 5 years’ experience in DevOps engineering creating and automating CICD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab or GitHub following GitOps principles Experience developing and promoting tools that simplify the build process and continuous delivery pipeline. Strong experience working in Linux-based environments. Strong scripting experience in one or more languages- Python, Ruby, andor Bash Strong experience designing and automating the provisioning of environments and using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices and tools like Ansible and Terraform. Strong experience scripting using PowerShell. Strong experience on a professional software development team building highly scalable, distributed systems in a multi-cloud environment. Experience with working in a hybrid environment on prem and multi-cloud deployed applications. Experience with software deployment and orchestration technologies such as Helm, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, etc. Experience in troubleshooting and system administration tasks in Linux or Unix Experience in networking, coordination and service discovery Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree Experience supporting database or datastores e.g. MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, Ignite, Hadoop, S3 Experience in messaging and streaming platforms such as NATS or Kafka Experience in security fundamentals Experience developing and managing microservice and API solutions. Experience implementing API Traffic Management and security policies. Experience with non-relational, NoSQL databases and various data-storage systems Experience working with Machine Learning and Data Science teams especially creating architecture for experimentation versus production execution.
