Berkeley Lights, Inc. The software team works closely with the system engineering, biology and bioengineering teams to develop system capabilities that transform molecular biology workflows. We are looking for an accomplished individual to lead the team that develops and releases our data analysis application. This role is broadly split between architecture and management.
Responsibilities
- You should have the ability to understand user stories and translate them into software requirements.
- The ability to compare and contrast complex software designs and articulate the reasons for choosing one design over another.
- Most of the development and testing is done offshore; so the ability to engage with and get the best out of remote teams is a must.
- You should be willing to do the legwork required in engaging customers to love Berkeley Lights’ software.
Requirements
- Well-versed in modern Object Oriented programming languages.
- Very comfortable writing front-end or back-end code.
- Very comfortable with Software Design Patterns and how the same concepts translate between programming languages.
- Ability to create and communicate software designs and the impact of design decisions. Should understand the core Computer Science principles behind the designs.
- Ability to design systems that manage large volume and variety of data.
- Experienced in creating and deploying solutions on a private network and in the cloud.
