Do you have hands-on experience with MARKETO or similar email automation systems such as Pardot, Hubspot, Eloqua or Responsys? This role is a great opportunity for someone wanting to progress beyond a pure production role, or someone wanting to really accelerate nurture/drip campaign development. You will own implementation and performance for all aspects of the email channel. The successful candidate will have developed, executed, managed and optimized established programs across all stages of the guest life cycle campaigns in automation systems. This is a critical program and channel for our business; bring your big ideas and your practical experience in growing guest engagement.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
Campaign Development, Deployment and Optimization
* Develop and manage monthly email calendar to document and schedule all email communications. You’ll partner with our internal content/copy teams to implement content for weekly newsletter series and help outline content needed for our nurture/drip series.
* Proficient use of a marketing automation system (preferably Marketo). Ability to build engagement programs including:
– Email newsletter campaigns
– Maintain segmentation file
– Build nurture campaigns
– Track the performance of your campaign and engagement streams
– Set up and maintain web site automated trigger forms and landing pages
– Create/manage Smart Lists
* Reporting: Develop monthly reporting for campaign and segment performance. Optimize against key metrics including CTR, open rates, leads and conversions.
* Track email best practices, monitor industry trends, and make recommendations.
* Identify, create, and develop customer segmentation strategies and ongoing communications plans targeted towards those segments.
* Create and execute A/B tests on an ongoing basis to continually improve email performance
* Execute 100% error-free email campaigns while meeting deadlines, balancing multiple projects, and proactively communicating project status.
EXPERIENCE
* Must have hands-on experience with Marketo or similar marketing automation system. Experience with Sales Force a plus, but not required.
* Advanced Excel knowledge a plus!
* Understanding of email marketing operations, technology, testing techniques and platforms; specifically building requirements for list segmentation, workflows and triggered events. Prior experience included specific revenue or engagement metrics for the channel.
* BS or BA preferred
* 3+ years’ experience creating and launching email campaigns including newsletters and automated/drip campaigns. Should have knowledge of email best practices including subject lines, messaging, segmentation, personalization/dynamic content, list management, deliverability and CAN-SPAM/anti-spam laws.
* Some knowledge of HTML and CSS for emails, including responsive coding principles
* Working knowledge of Google Analytics is helpful.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with a maniacal attention to detail
* Experience designing and implementing A/B tests
