Position: Lead .Net Developer.

Location: Berkeley, CA

Duration: Long Term

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Systems Development: Work with Project Manager to define development plan and delivery schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of the code; lead development team and agile scrums; work with business owners to correct deviations from development plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects
• Development Team Management Lead development teams and responsible for delivery of the product in a timely manner, help remove development team roadblocks; leverage organizational resources to improve capacity for development work; mentor development team members
• Product Owner Support Support the Business Product Owner in managing customer expectations for project deliverables, help project manager in managing stakeholder communications, and help to implement an effective system of change control and production implementation
• Process Management and Improvement Define and manage a well-defined development process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for applications, interfaces and middleware development and system maintenance
• Team building promote empowerment of the development team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the development and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Proven ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met

• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using development tools: MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Management Studio, T-SQL editor, etc..
• Strong understanding of SDLC framework and industry software methodologies.
• Experience in migrating an enterprise level legacy system to an N-Gen platform using .Net frameworks and third party APIs and libraries. Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and building development teams
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing technical demands
• Project Management tools such as Jira, Rally, or equivalent, Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
• Prior work experience in Clinical Lab environment is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Proven experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including, ASP.NET, ADO.NET
• Languages: VB.Net, C#, SQL/T-SQL, Java, JavaScript/DHTML, VBScript, HTML, XML and MySQL
• Minimum 10 years in backend software design in SQL Server, Stored procedures, ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#
• Experience in Clinical Lab Analyzers/ Equipment s is a big plus
