Agency offices are located in downtown Berkeley (five blocks from BART) and Walnut Creek, with a satellite location in uptown Oakland. JFCS East Bay actively seeks to hire qualified professionals who reflect the cultural and linguistic diversity of the East Bay and of our clients. Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Adult Services, the Staff Therapist provides clinical services to adults. This is an hourly position. Duties & Essential Job Functions Provide treatment to individual adults, couples, and older adults. Provide treatment to older adults and their family caregivers, when appropriate. Develop and facilitate support groups and workshops, as appropriate. Perform record-keeping and other administrative duties necessary to carry out clinical responsibilities. Comply with the JFCS East Bay policies and procedures. Attend clinical staff meetings and trainings. Available to work one evening per week. Qualifications Graduate degree (MSW, MA/MS, Ph.D., or equivalent.) Professional license in the state of California (LCSW, Licensed Psychologist) and a minimum of 2 years’ post-licensure experience preferred. Demonstrated skills in diagnosis and treatment of older adults, adults, and families, using a broad range of clinical modalities. Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills. Knowledge of Jewish culture and community. Commitment to agency mission of promoting and strengthening the social and emotional well-being of diverse individuals and families throughout the East Bay. Computer proficiency. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Spanish or other language skills highly desirable. Patience, compassion, flexibility. Ability to work independently and part of a team. Clean DMV record, current California driver’s license, and car required. Compensation Compensation is competitive, depending on experience.
