We are currently seeking PhD economists to join our practice. Our work ranges from preliminary market or case research to communication of statistical or econometric principles to highly technical financial and economic modeling. As such, our employees possess a wide array of skills and come from diverse and varied backgrounds. Strong applicants are self-motivated, have exceptional research skills, the ability to work independently and/or in teams, and a commitment to quality and accuracy even under deadlines.
Qualifications:
- PhD in economics or related field required
- Excellent history of academic or professional achievement
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
- Experience with one or more of the following statistical programming language: Matlab, Python, R, SAS, Stata, SQL
- Proficiency in data analysis. Experience with large and/or complex datasets a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to communicate complex economic concepts in written and spoken English
Responsibilities:
- Develop analytical strategies and work plans in an environment of ambiguity and incomplete information
- Conduct rigorous subject-matter and academic research and empirical analyses
- Manage teams of analysts, provide feedback and mentorship, monitor and control quality
- Draft reports and communicate results of analysis to clients in a clear, non-technical manner
- Contribute to the growth and development of the practice through client engagement, marketing, and training
